I am currently buying Nexium and other brands of esomeprazole with my insurance. I have heard that these medications are generally cheaper than Nexium and other drugs and would be the best choice for me.
I have no issues with the prices, however I would not recommend buying Nexium as a substitute for Esomeprazole, which is currently the only FDA approved drug to treat acid reflux disease. I have seen very little or no research on Nexium, and have heard that it is not as effective as the medication used in treating heartburn.
I do not know if I have any studies that are conclusive that this is possible.
